Try not to cry at this tearful reunion of a missing dog and his owner

This is a teary one, so get ready!
It's hard not to tear up when you see this overjoyed dog greeting his owner after he'd been lost for two years. Not a dry eye in the room!
They were very lucky to get their precious pup back - according to the Pet Finder, approximately 10 million cats and dogs are lost each year. Sadly, many of them don't return to their families - sometimes their families have stopped searching once they're found, but one of the best ways to ensure your pet comes home is by microchipping them.

Registered microchips are the best way to make sure your lost pup makes it back home. According to a study done by the American Veterinary Medical Association, dogs that are microchipped have over a 50% chance of being returned home, while non-microchipped dogs have a 22% chance. That's more than double!
This video may be a little sad, but it's happy and heartwarming too. So send it to any of your friends and family that want a little feel-good news - or a good cry! And if you have any stories to share about microchipping your pup, tell us in the comments!
