Dog and crow play fetch (video)

While the friendship between a cat and dog seems like an odd pairing, we might have one that's just a little more unique. A German Shepherd mix and an eager crow seem to have struck up a friendship reminiscent of a Disney movie. Most surprisingly, it appears that the bird is the one who wears the pants in the relationship, as seen in the video below, from MASSEUR1956.
The dog's owner discovered the crow as a baby, abandoned in the woods. After looking for the bird's home for more than an hour he brought it home and looked after it until it learned to fly. The bird returns regularly for food and a little play time with his favorite furry friend.

A CBS News report shows that crows are very intelligent animals. Their brains are the size of a human thumb and studies suggest their intelligence level is similar to that of a primate. Some scientists actually think crows have the intelligence of an average 7 -year-old child.
Check out the video below and see how the bird gets impatient when his canine pal takes a little too long to give the ball back.
