How this man helps old dogs is downright touching

Meet Steve Greig.
Steve is an accountant.
Steve is also a guy who spends a good deal of his time caring for a rabbit, a pig, two cats, two ducks, two pigeons, two chickens and 10 dogs at his home in Colorado. Oh, sorry. I forgot to mention he has a koi pond too.

Now, one might think that Steve is a little eccentric, opening his home to not only a large number of animals, but such a strange assortment. Most understand the dogs of all sizes and breeds, and wanting to help out senior dogs like Eeyore (a 12-year-old Chihuahua with four bad knees and a heart murmur) that he got from a shelter, but how’d he come to adopt a chicken, a pig and a rabbit?
The rabbit he chalks up to fate. Someone left him on his front yard. At first Steve was concerned about what to do with him, but it turned out that Stuart (as he now calls him) fits in great, gets along with everyone and has no fear.
Bikini the pig and Oprah the chicken he picked up at a farm animal swap. Bikini was there because her previous owner had landlord issues. She was house trained and had experience around dogs, so seeing the great opportunity he was presented with, he took her home.
So, how does Steve take care of them all? One might think that the senior guys would require a lot of extra work.
His day starts at 5:00 am. He makes breakfast for them, which can take some time, since most of them are on different diets.
He then goes to work and comes home at lunch to let them out and give them treats.
His weekends are taken up by grooming and vet appointments, which of course vary depending on the specific needs of each pet at the time.
They, of course, also get daily walks, which is something to see; especially when Steve takes them all at the same time.
According to Steve, because they are mostly senior dogs they’re pretty laid back (low-energy and quiet). Visitors often say it's hard to tell that he has 10 dogs in the house.

He also said that he probably wouldn't be able to do it if they were all puppies.
And if they were all puppies, you'd be reading a very different story right now.
