Husky picks out her own cat from the shelter. These 8 photos show the true meaning of friendship

When Raven's owner, Christina, took the Tamaskan Husky pup with her to choose a kitten from a shelter in Lubbock, Texas, she had no idea that a lifelong friendship was about to be forged.
Christina wanted to adopt a cat who would work well with Raven's personality. She told The Dodo, “I had always wanted a dog and a cat to grow up together. It’s been like a life goal. I wanted them to be able to get along well. So I wanted her to actually meet the cat and have the cat get along with the dog as well.”

It went better than even Christina had expected. At first, it seemed that none of the kittens in the shelter were all that interested in Raven's inquisitive nose. That quickly changed when one little kitten came up to Raven to check her out. Instantly, these two animals bonded and a great friendship began!
The kitten's name was Woodhouse, and after Christina had brought her home, both cat and dog were inseparable.
One year later, these kindred spirits still spend time with each other, even if they don't cuddle quite so much as they used to when they were smaller.
Christina notes, "They are perfect with each other. They don't cuddle as much as they used to when they were a puppy and kitten. But they're still always together, always playing together."
Woodhouse even enjoys chasing Raven! "Woodhouse actually chases the dog around the house," says Christina. "And they like to play tag."
