Forget wedding bouquets. This bride uses puppies instead, and the result is adorable

When Charlotte attorney Meghan Butler was planning her wedding, she knew she wanted to do something unique. She also wanted to do something that made a difference. With the help of her bridesmaids, she decided to incorporate a cause very close to her heart - animal adoption.
Meghan and her now-husband, Brett, are vocal advocates of animal adoption. The newlyweds are proud pet parents of four adopted pets - two cat and two dogs.

The 30-year-old bride contacted the Charlotte SPCA and convinced them to let her "borrow" some of their adoptable pups. What happened next was nothing short of spectacular.
Photographer Brittany Boland instructed each bridesmaid to choose a puppy and pose for their bridal party photographs. No bouquets needed here!

As seen in the photos, it is clear that both the bridesmaids and the pups were happy to be a part of this break from tradition.

In lieu of wedding favors, Meghan and Brett chose to make donations to the Charlotte SPCA.

And the good news doesn't end there; all of the puppies have since been adopted.

But that isn't stopping Meghan and Brett from continuing to voice awareness about animal adoption. When contacted by prospective adopters of the "puppy bouquets," Meghan urges people to visit their local animal shelter to find their new fur-ever friend.
