Stray cat found outside of Salvation Army but she had a special surprise for the staff

It was Thanksgiving Eve 2017 in Selma, CA and some workers at the Salvation Army Men's Adult Rehabilitation Center were wrapping things up for the holiday when they encountered a surprise. A young stray tabby cat with an orange spot on her head, known as a torbie, had taken up residence.
And she had just given birth.

They quickly went into action and gathered her up. It was not their first cat rescue. Someone had handed in a kitten named Sally Ann through the donation box in 2016. They knew just what to do.
They called local cat rescue The Cat House on the Kings in Parlier, CA, who had taken in Sally Ann.
The calico mama, whom the Salvation Army workers named Faith, had four kittens – three orange-and-white tigers and one gray tiger. All were born healthy.
The rescue was relieved that the workers had found her and brought her in before Thanksgiving. Despite its being California, temperatures were already in the 50s and 40s at night. It was no weather for a young mom to be out on the street with her kittens over the long holiday weekend.
Fortunately, Faith is a good mother and her babies are growing well. One more success story for The Cat House on the Kings.
