Rescuers are shocked when golden retriever has puppies that look more like cows

John and Katie Black are the kind of folks who want to live their "golden years" right now. That's why they volunteer for Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue in Raleigh, NC. They have three permanent rescues who live with them already, but they still were willing to take Rosie in, even when she was very, very pregnant.
Rosie is a Golden Retriever mix, so it was quite a surprise to her foster family when her babies turned out to look nothing like her. In fact, they thought the pups resembled cows more than a Golden Retriever's babies!

It's evident that they take after their daddy, whoever he is. Katie and John decided to go with the bovine theme and name the puppies Daisy, Betsy, Clarabelle, and Moo.
“My dad laughed for quite a while at the photos initially, and loved it and joked it’s the type of photo that goes viral and I should post it somewhere,” Katie said. “I’m glad we did.”
So Katie decided to post the pictures on Reddit, her first ever post. As of right now, the post has been upvoted about 90,000 times! Wow!
Rosie's a great mom, according to Katie. And the pups are adorable. But here's the thing. Rosie's fortunate that she was rescued. It could have turned out tragically, and often does when dogs are not spayed or neutered and are left to wander the streets. While we applaud the Blacks, we wish foster families were not necessary.

Share Rosie's story with your friends. If you have a dog or cat that has not been neutered or spayed and microchipped, why not make that a resolution right now?
