Dog refuses to be separated from his favorite toy, even when it's time for laundry

Dog owners know that they often come first and foremost in their canine partner's hearts. But for many dogs, their stuffed animal toy comes in a close second. Nowhere was that better proven than in the story of Habs the sweet cocker spaniel and his beloved teddy bear. For three years, Habs has often carried his giant stuffed bear around the house, and when they were briefly separated, Habs' loyalty to his buddy shone through.
Jacqueline Estey, Habs' owner, notes how inseparable her dog is from the bear: "Habs has always been inseparable from the bear. He likes to bring the bear all around the house ... If you pick it up, he’ll follow you around until you put it back down for him." But she recently noticed the bear had seen better days and was badly in need of a wash. So when Habs was not around, Estey grabbed the bear and put it in the washing machine.

While Estey went about the rest of her day, Habs waited faithfully by the washer and dryer, concerned about his best buddy. “I have never seen him do that for anything in the wash, other than his bear,” Estey said. “It was hilarious when I realized he was sitting there for the whole entire cycle and wasn’t moving for anything!”
Thankfully, only a short while later, the bear was reunited with its loyal friend Habs, and the two snuggled down for a good night's sleep. Later that evening, Estey was awakened by a scratching sound at the door. She walked downstairs to the laundry room to find Habs looking anxiously at the dryer.
"I heard Habs scratching at the dryer door," Estey said. "When I went in there, he was looking for his bear in the washer and dryer!" Apparently, the separation from his bear proved traumatic.
Estey reassured Habs that his friend was up in his bed, safe and sound. "I walked him downstairs and showed him where his bear was, where he continued to lay down next to his bear," Estey said.
Satisfied that all was well in the world, Habs curled up next to his bear and fell fast asleep.

Because the bear has been recently cleaned and won't need a return trip to the washer any time soon, it looks like all is well for Habs and his friend. Does your dog have this level of loyalty for its favorite toy? Let Habs stand as an example of pure love and devotion for all dogs and humans.
