Flight attendant meets a stray dog and goes the extra mile to rescue him

For one stray Argentinian pup, it was love at first sight. It didn't matter that the human he'd fallen for lived halfway around the world, she was meant to be his. So with lots of determination and puppy-dog looks, German flight attendant Olivia Sievers found herself adopting a dog from a world away.
CNN reports it all started when the flight attendant found the stray on the street near her hotel on a visit to Buenos Aires - a city she frequents for work. Sievers fed and played with the dog, but when she tried to go back to the hotel, the dog refused to leave her side. "I tried to change my way because I didn't want that he follow me back to the hotel," the flight attendant told Noticiero Trece. "But it was not possible. He always came back and followed me. I tried one hour, but he always watched me and followed me. He was really happy that somebody gave him attention."

The Dodo reports that when Sievers finally went inside, the pooch sat out front the hotel patiently waiting for her to come back for him. She cared for the dog but she had to fly back to Germany soon, so she left him with an airline blanket and went back to work.

While Sievers thought this was the end to their story, the pup knew otherwise. Each and every time Sievers came back to Buenos Aires she stayed at the same hotel, and each and every time the stray dog was there waiting for her. The dog had never forgotten her kindness, or love - and was determined to make this 'long distance' relationship work.
At one point Sievers told the Telegraph she even tried to get the dog adopted by a local group so he could have a loving home. But the dog didn't want just any human; he wanted her. He escaped from the shelter and the next time Sievers was in town, he was there waiting.
