Known as distillery or brewery cats, these feisty felines are indeed treasured employees of their respective breweries, distilleries, and even wineries.
Without their help, these operations would be overrun with mice and rats, and it is for this very reason these cats have come to be so lauded by their human employers—not to mention lovers of cats and fine spirits.
And what's not to love about these lovable, hardworking fuzz balls?
Just a quick cat nap before it's back to work...

A Mouser for the History Books
One especially notable rodent remover is the now immortalized Towser the Mouser of Scotland's Glenturret Distillery. Towser stalked the grounds at Glenturret for all of her 24 years of life and in that time was estimated to have dispatched 28,899 mice, according to the Rampant Scotland Newsletter.

Her prowess resulted in the Guinness Book of Records naming her the world's best mouser and her likeness being forever preserved in a bronze statue dedicated to her tireless protection of the distillery.

These hardworking protectors of adult beverages deserve our appreciation and admiration. Do your part in sharing their heroic deeds with cat and brew lovers alike.
