Fishermen just wanted to go fishing, makes ultimate catch-of-a-lifetime instead

Okay so technically they were unsuccessful in what they set out to do - catch fish - but they were wildly successful in being heroes and excellent human beings. Just hear us out.
So imagine you're just headed out for a regular day of fishing. Relaxing, taking in the sights, all that good stuff. And then all of a sudden, you see something small and orange swimming in the water.

But it's not a fish....
What do you do?
Well, of course, you pull it out! And that's exactly what this man did.
Turns out that sorry little furball was a kitten! But believe it or not, this guy's job was not done. There was another surprise in store.
Sadly, kittens can be abandoned for a number of reasons. A mother cat might abandon her kittens because she is sick or injured, she's too young to be a mother and doesn't know what to do, or a host of other reasons, according to Cat Time. It's very sad, but it's good to know that there are people around who will step in and help.
Just while he was petting the little guy and recovering from his surprise...
Another! Would you believe it?
It's hard to imagine, but sometimes cats are abandoned by their humans too. It can happen for a variety of reasons, but according to the ASPCA, about 3 million cats are surrendered every year. If you want to help, check out foster and adoption options in your area - there are lots of little ones that could use your help!

These little guys were very lucky that day. Imagine if he hadn't wanted to go fishing!
Now imagine him trying to explain that to his wife...
Don't forget to watch the video! The way they rub against his leg in thanks is just too cute to handle. And share these cuties with your friends and family!
