Guy was just watching TV when kitty made it clear she had something to say

Most of us who have cats realize that the aloof stereotype is pretty much garbage. Sure, some cats are more affectionate than others, but cats are generally pretty loving and happy to be around us, even if they don't want to be petted all the time.
This cat takes that to the extreme. Her dad was just relaxing and watching TV in bed when she came over and started to hug him and demand a little lovin'. It's okay; he wasn't doing anything important anyway! Check it out:

But what does she want?
Well, sometimes cats like to mark us with their scent. According to PetMD, it's an affectionate behavior, and also affiliative. It means that the cat is grouping you in with things in its environment that it likes. Aww.
Check out what she does, though:
So cute! She wants kisses! But do cats understand what human kisses are?
Mother Nature Network says probably, but it's useful to understand how cats communicate affection through their own version of a "kiss." Has your cat ever looked at you, relaxed and content, and slowly blinked its eyes? That's the cat version of a kiss! Try doing it back to see what happens.
Don't forget to watch this aww-dorable video below! And share this with your friends and family who don't believe that cats are affectionate!
