Moose, a 7-year-old Australian Shepherd/Malamute mix, appears to be a pretty run of the mill dog, except for one thing: his best friend is a fox. Juniper foxx is a domestic fox with 1.7M followers on Instagram. The two of them together are just as cute as Disney imagined.
How did this unlikely couple come to be? Keep reading and find out:

Juniper is a domestic fox. Foxes have been bred for their fur for over a hundred years. The result of this is 4,000 genetic differences in these "tame foxes" from their wild counterparts, making them "non-releasable" because they are unsuited to live in the wild. These foxes need homes, just like dogs, hence: Juniper and Moose.

Juniper's owner says that she can be very sassy, and she loves her boyfriend Moose. A lot of people who are interested in taking in domestic foxes are curious if they bite. The answer is yes. Foxes are moody and do bite from time to time. But this face makes up it...

Hopefully this real life Fox and the Hound will always be friends, forever.
