Dog lets kitty in and begs his human to keep it (4+ photos)

It's an old saying that "animals always know," and in the case of one golden retriever named Crosby, that saying just might be right. Crosby was a happy dog with fellow canine and feline siblings at home — but when they passed away, he was all alone and in need of a new best buddy. So he decided to take fate into his paws and find a friend!
Crosby's owner thought that his dog had been handling the loss of his four-legged friends fairly well. "About six months ago, he lost his kitty friend, and just over a month ago, he lost his best doggo friend that he's had as a companion since he was 8 weeks old," he said. "Crosby has been pretty OK about being an only doggo, or so I thought."

Apparently, the owner thought wrong! He returned home from work one day to find Crosby not barking happily at the door, but instead leading him back to the bathroom. There, in the bathtub, was a cat! The owner was mystified.
"I've never seen this kitten before, and although I do have a doggy door, it's way too high off the ground for this little baby to have snuck in. It seems to me that Crosby must have brought her inside. She has an uncanny resemblance to the kitty friend he lost 6 months ago," Crosby's owner explained.
The man walked around the neighborhood asking if the cat belonged to anyone, but no one claimed her. He then took her to the veterinarian for a checkup and to see if she was microchipped. There was no chip and no owner for this little kitten, but that was soon going to change.
Crosby's owner realized that his dog was telling him that he wanted a new friend — and not just any friend, but this kitten. So, it became official: Raina had a new home and a new friend for life.
