Granddaughter's Twitter status about her grandpa and these stray kittens is so heartwarming

Jimmy is an 85-year-old man who lives in Puerto Rico with his beloved wife, but despite their longtime marital bliss, he has been keeping a secret from his partner. The secret involves some stray kittens who needed a little help, and Jimmy was too kindhearted to turn them away --- even if it got him in trouble with his wife!
Jimmy's granddaughter, Syl, outed his secret on her Twitter account. The neighborhood that her grandparents live in is full of stray cats, and while Jimmy has always been amenable to them, his wife would prefer that they not be around their home at all. And so, Jimmy's secret life began.

"My grandpa felt for the stray cats and would leave food in the back of the house near his tool shed, a spot where my grandma doesn't go," said Syl. "This particular cat was especially friendly and got attached to my grandpa."
In fact, the cat who took such a liking to Syl's grandfather was pregnant, and not long afterward, she gave birth to kittens. Syl noted on her Twitter account that "my grandpa let a stray cat have her kittens in his tool shed and now he's raising a bunch of cats behind my grandmas back bc she said no."
Despite his wife's anti-cat stance, Jimmy made the tool shed a warm, secure environment for momma cat and her babies. It worked out perfectly, as Jimmy took care of the cats and his wife was none the wiser. "My grandpa is really kind and has always loved animals," Syl said. "So it's not really that surprising."
But three weeks afterward, the secret was out. Jimmy's wife found out about the mother cat and her kittens, and after realizing the difficult situation the cats were in, she softened her stance toward them. "She's okay with them staying there until they're old enough to have new homes," Syl said.

All's well that ends well. The cats have a secure home for awhile, and Jimmy has peace in his home. Share this cute story with your cat-loving family and friends on Facebook.
