Former marine fosters tiny, adorable kitty so that she can get round the care clock she needs

They say "once a Marine, always a Marine," and their motto is Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful). So what was Gabe to do when he discovered that the Seattle Humane Society had a days-old kitten that needed fostering? Of course, he did what any good Marine would do and stepped up to serve.
Little Jubilee (her name means joy and celebration) received more than a foster home, though. She gained a new life. Without her hero's round-the-clock care, her tiny, emaciated body would not have made it.

When Gabe first saw her, she was so tiny she wholly fit under his hand. "Look what I just got!" he tweeted. "She's only a few days old, about the size of an iPhone 5s and weighs about half as much."
“Let her sleep, for when she wakes, she will shake the world,” Napoleon Bonapart famously said. He was talking about China, but it certainly fit little Jubilee.
One of the first things she needed was a bath. Surprisingly, she really seemed to enjoy the warm water in her minuscule tub. And after she was clean, she was fed =... every few hours.
Right away, the little calico kitten discovered she knew how to say thank you with a purr twice her size.
William Shakespeare said it well: "Though she be but little, she is fierce!"
Jubilee has done well under the care of "her Marine." She is fluffy and sweet, and loves her human. In fact, Gabe has given her the best gift of all. He's taught her to love.

Is there a hero you love? In this story, the hero is human (unless you ask him!). But plenty of family pets are heroes, too. So what's your story? Why not share this one so other people can join the conversation!
