This man got more than he bargained for when he went through the taco drive-thru

All Reddit user Acr0b4tics wanted was his favorite taco from Taco Bell, but as he pulled to the drive-in window to get his food, an unexpected order leaped into his car. It was a ginger and white cat who quickly made himself comfortable in the driver's lap, and then on the dashboard over the steering wheel!
Acr0b4tics had just planned to pick up some fast food on the drive home from work in Sylvester, Georgia, when the cat decided to hitch a ride with him. Right away, the man checked with the restaurant employees to see if anyone was familiar with the cat.

"Taco Bell staff did not know who he belonged to," Acrob4tics stated on Reddit. The restaurant was located on a busy traffic corner, and the man didn't want to leave the cat to wander around near the cars. So he decided to take the cat to the nearest veterinarian to see if he was microchipped and belonged to somebody.
However, the veterinarian confirmed that the cat was not chipped or fixed, and so an owner could not be found. In his running update on Reddit, Acr0b4tics informed his followers that "The vet confirmed that he isn't microchipped. (He) has not been reported missing at local shelters."
The man decided to bring that cat home, so it had a warm, safe place to stay while the hunt was on for his owner. The cat was named Jose, and he seems to enjoy staying with Acr0b4tics!
Forty-eight hours after Jose jumped into his car, Acr0b4tics reports that he is still looking for Jose's owner, but is beginning to think that Jose might have found his permanent home. "People abandon healthy pets all the time here. Considering the town I found him in (not where I live) has a very low per capita income, I wouldn't be surprised if he was left, part of an unwanted litter, or just stray all together. I'll do my best to make sure he gets back to his owner if he has one, if not I'll be happy to take him," he stated.

It looks like Jose has already made up his mind as to where he wants to live! Good luck, Jose, and we hope that your life with Acr0b4tics is a full and happy one. Share this story with your family and friends on Facebook.
