Senior dog surrendered for being "stupid" now finds the loving home he deserves

The holidays rolled around, and it should have been a happy time for everyone. But for Figgy, an 18-year-old poodle, it was a terrifying, extremely sad time. His owners decided they didn't want him anymore. The reason? He was stupid.
Poor Figgy was surrendered to the Muttville Senior Dog Rescue just before Christmas. He had arthritis, was blind and had no teeth. Still, according to his owners, he could "get around."

His walk was stiff and a little wobbly. But there was still plenty of life left in the old fellow.
The staff and volunteers at Muttville appreciated Figgy and surrounded him with love and kindness. But more than that, they found Figgy a forever home.
An experienced hospice caretaker named Eileen decided to take him in and make his last days happy ones.
Figgy got the best Christmas present ever! He is now discovering what it means to be unconditionally loved by his new mom. Warm and cared for, his final days will be his very best, thanks to Eileen and Muttville Senior Dog Rescue.
