After being found in a hedge, sad stray kitten gets her very first cuddle

Charlotte Grey was just five weeks old in 2015 when she was found in a hedge, meowing in hunger and distress. Her mother was nowhere to be found.
A man was driving by when he spotted her. Unable to coax her out, he called his daughter, Mary-Jade to see if she could help. She tried to talk little Charlotte out of the hedge, but Charlotte was scared and stubborn, and wouldn't budge.

So, Mary-Jade called her mother, who brought cat food. But two hours went by and still Charlotte wouldn't come out. Even though she was very hungry, she was more afraid of the humans. She just couldn't take the step to get help.
Finally, Mary-Jade's stepfather came and cut a hole in the hedge. Mary-Jade was then able to reach in and get the frightened kitten out.
Poor Charlotte was absolutely terrified – until she got her first cuddle. And then she was hooked.
Next came a trip to the vet where Charlotte got a clean bill of health. Back home, she crawled into the arms of Mary-Jade's little sister. Soon, they were inseparable.
Charlotte had discovered the joys of being an indoor cat. The family decided to adopt her.
Charlotte has since become quite the lap cat. She has grown up into a beautiful gray kitty who loves hugs. And she's still with the same family. She found her furever home that day.
