Lovable senior dog found just the home he was looking for

Eight-year-old Griswold was just a lonely pup in the pound at the Richmond Animal League in Virginia in late 2017. A gentle, friendly Beagle, Griswold had won the hearts of shelter workers.
Sadly, he had lymphoma and they didn't know how much longer he might have. Even with chemotherapy, he would have only up to a year left. He also had more minor health problems like chronic dry eye and a skin condition.

The shelter workers didn't want him to die alone at the shelter, especially over Christmas, so they put out a call on social media for someone who would take him in.
Enter Jill Anderson. Jill saw the appeal for a home for Griswold on a Facebook group called Beagle Parents. She already had a 14-year-old Puggle named Maddie the past two years. She immediately went to the shelter and applied to take Griswold.
Since then, Griswold has making himself at home. Jill set up hidey-holes and toys around the house for him and introduced him to his new canine sister.

She also took him to Santa and for a visit to the beach. He even got to meet her parents.
No one knows how long Griswold has left. It could be a month. It could be a year. But Jill is determined to make sure that his last days are filled with love and comfort. He has found his furever home.
