The kitten was lost, wandering on the streets of a part of central Florida recently battered by Hurricane Irma. Desperately looking for something to eat, the kitten walked near a warehouse where some workers immediately spotted him. Luckily for the kitten, a man who worked at the warehouse took one look at the cat and brought him home to try and save him.
Imgur user awrigz said, "He was found wandering around a warehouse in central Florida where my fiancé works." The couple decided to do everything they could to save the emaciated kitten. If he survived, they would foster him until a forever home could be found.

With warm baths, around-the-clock feedings, and loving care, the little kitten named Oscar began to thrive.

"Being a few weeks old, we had to bottle feed. He was less than half a pound when he was found... After a few meals, he was full of energy and climbing everywhere," awrigz explained.

But what surprised the couple was the way Murphy, their five-year-old cat, took to the kitten. "After just 24 hours, Murphy was taking care of Oscar - cleaning him, playing with him, napping with him," said awrigz. Oscar looked up to Murphy and followed him all around the house.

They hadn't counted on such a strong bond between the cats to be forged so fast, but Murphy and Oscar were best friends, and the couple decided not to separate them.

"He was very playful from the beginning, hopping around and chasing Murphy. We originally were looking to give him away, but we quickly grew attached and couldn't let him go. We couldn't separate the two after seeing them together," awrigz said.

Oscar has grown into a solid young cat, and he and Oscar are best friends for life. You rarely see one without the other too! For Oscar, this home is a dream come true. "Now he spends his days basking in the sun through our porch window, chasing mini tennis balls, and snuggling with his big brother Murphy," said awrigz.

From surviving a hurricane to living on the streets, little Oscar certainly deserves his loving home and his doting big brother, Murphy! Share this beautiful story with your cat-loving friends and family on Facebook.
