Cat assumed dead in Camp Fire finds her family a month later

When the Camp Fire swept through Northern California, it sent thousands of families fleeing for their lives. In many cases there was little time to evacuate, and without advance notice, families couldn't get back to retrieve their pets. They faced the heartbreak of not knowing whether their pets made it out of the fire alive.

Courtney Werblow's family lost their home to the Camp Fire, and their cat, Timber, went missing. Timber had disappeared just before the family was forced to evacuate, and the entire family spent a month worrying that Timber had perished. But a month to the day that the fire had destroyed their home, the family found a reason to hope again.
When Werblow and her parents returned to the site where their home had been, they weren't sure what they would find. They were hoping to recover what they could from the ashes of their home. But they found something much more exciting.
Timber emerged from the woods and walked toward the family. She seemed hesitant at first, almost like she couldn't believe her family had returned. But after a moment, Timber came right over.
They even caught the amazing reunion on video.
