Watch as this intelligent dog is able to lower volume on his bark

Few things are cuter than dogs performing tricks, and more viral videos of those adorable talents exist than one could watch in a day. A select few dogs rise above the rest, however, and their skills and sweet personalities make their videos memorable. That's the case with a video featuring a Shiba Inu who obeys his owner's every command in the cutest way.
In the video, a dog owner holding a treat asks the dog, "Is this how you bark?" The dog gives a little woof. "You can bark a little softer, right?" the woman asks. With each question, the dog's responses become almost impossibly softer and, of course, cuter.

The video was used in a Japanese game show, and the reactions of the contestants in the corner of the screen are almost as funny as the dog's super soft barks and whispers. Just when you think the dog cannot possibly bark any softer, he does, and it is hilarious.
The Shiba Inu is a dog breed that generally barks only when necessary. They are well known for their vocalization abilities and can often be heard whistling, yodeling or grunting in their efforts to communicate. This dog breed is highly intelligent and independent, and, like the dog in this video, if they get your attention through their vocalizations, they are apt to communicate that way more often.
The Shiba Inu in the video showcases some of the best qualities of his breed, and he does so in the most entertaining fashion. Check out this dog's incredibly soft barks and the interaction between dog and owner in the clip below.
