Homeless man admitted to hospital and loyal dogs wait patiently

A good friend stays by your side no matter what. And when you end up in the hospital, knowing that your friend will be there waiting for you can be reassuring. For one man, multiple friends waited for him during a medical emergency – and they just happened to have four feet.
Cris Mamprin and her colleagues at Hospital Regional Alto Vale in Brazil were all lucky enough to witness this special event. When a homeless man named Cesar arrived at the hospital, his entourage provided an important lesson in love and dedication.

Cesar arrived at the hospital at 3 a.m. on a Sunday. He needed medication for a health problem he'd been fighting. Because Cesar typically went to a different health facility, the staff asked about his history.
Though Cesar was homeless and had little in terms of material possessions, he was rich in other ways. Staff looked out the front door and realized that a group of dogs was waiting for their friend.
It turns out that Cesar had decided he would care for the dogs himself because they didn't have anyone else in the world but him. Cesar also confessed that, in an effort to make sure his four-legged friends are fed, he often goes without food himself.
All of the dogs were well-cared for. The fact that they patiently waited at the door is a testament to how much they love Cesar.
Though the dogs were eager to see Cesar again, they remained patiently at the doorway. When staff got Cesar all set with the care he needed, they decided to let the dogs inside so they wouldn't have to be separated from him. Staff also gave Cesar food and, true to his word, he saved some of it to give to the dogs later.
Cesar spent about an hour at the hospital before he was discharged. Then he set out into the early-morning darkness with his happy group of dogs wagging their tails.
