Woman rescues dog discarded in plastic bag

Although many would probably agree with the statement that dogs are man's best friend, some people still do despicable things to these animals. Puppies and grown dogs alike suffer at the hands of those who do not want to shoulder the responsibility of caring for a dog. Aanimals who are fortunate get rescued.
Wolfie is one such dog, discarded by one person and embraced by someone else. Her rescuer, Eve, tells the story of Wolfie's despair and rescue. As a 3-month-old puppy, Wolfie got tossed out along the Romanian roadside in a plastic bag. Eve, on her way to celebrate the Day of the Dead, discovered the wriggling mass and instantly fell in love once she discovered what was inside.

Eve's dog Maimu had recently died after a battle with cancer, leaving a hole in her life just waiting to be filled. When Eve discovered Wolfie along the road to the cemetery, she immediately fell in love with the puppy. Her grandmother, who was with her, did not want another dog and forbid her to keep the animal.
Disappointed but wise enough not to fight with her grandmother, Eve simply released the puppy from its prison and whispered silently, "Come to find me because I really need a beautiful dog in my life." To ensure Eve left the puppy on the side of the road, the grandmother took her home from the celebration another way.
Although Eve had plans of sneaking out to find the puppy later that night, when she arrived home the puppy was already there, waiting for her. As Eve says, "From that moment on ... We are best friends, and she never leaves my side."
